Nuseed produces inbred seeds stocks and hybrids through a network of reliable growers. Seeds are produced in furrow irrigated fields using either time or distance isolation from other sunflowers to maintain genetic purity. Planting commences in early March and continues until July.
Our seed fields are inspected by officials to confirm they are free of important sunflower diseases, most of which rarely occur due to the rain-free growing season of the Sacramento Valley.
